Primary Class Contents for Internal Alchemy Training 1-1: Primary Taoist Internal Alchemy Training
- Step 1:
- A. Tendon Changing and Marrow Washing practice.
- B. How to cleanse the heart of all stray thoughts
- C. Forty-nine sacred postures, Taoist Mudras, and auxiliary hand postures to open the energy meridian systems and channels.
- Step 2: lighting the fire: transform Vital Essence (Jing) to Vital Energy (Qi)
- Step 3: Harvest The True Medicine
- NOTE: Taoist Yoga exercises to prepare the body for meditation will be taught at the beginning of each session of Internal Alchemy.

General Experience of Students During Internal Alchemy Training
The Taoist Internal Alchemy training we will learn is an intensive practice and the following is a general description by Teacher Hu Xuezhi as to the personal experience and phenomena that practitioners will experience when sincerely following this course of practice.
- 1 - 7 Days: Feel very tired for the beginning 3 to 4 days, but much saliva arise continuously, red complexion, less sleep, the warm feeling of Qi arises in every parts of the body, feel light with the whole body and the brain is clear and more clever than before, Qi goes through channels and vessels for all of them is opened up gradually, feel so healthy that a strange serene happiness arise in its own course and practitioners naturally conclude that general people could not ever have the chance to experience such happiness for just one minute in the worldly life. Really something is happening but it cannot be described in detail. The symptoms of the diseases begin to disappear unconsciously.
- 7 - 15 Days: The feeling of qi is so strong that the whole world seems to be becoming a hot sphere constantly running in its own course. Practitioners' view towards the world will change completely for they gain so much progress both in physical and mental aspects and they know another inner world begin to present itself. Really practitioner cannot know how to describe it for only the personal experience can tell all. The symptoms of the diseases disappear a little further, and you may feel amazed at the progress and may wonder how it gains, etc.
- Over 15 Days: Unimaginable things begin to arise and true heart, true medicine, mysterious pass, etc, begin to come on the internal scene. The inner world starts to have a brilliant golden light that gradually drives away the darkness. Looking into Lower Dantien the brilliant golden sphere comes up and presents its happy brightness to reach the very depth of darkness. Very strange phenomena present themselves continuously. We cannot describe them all, and practitioners will gain much more if they really follow the teaching sincerely.

Secondary Class Contents for QingCheng Internal Alchemy Course 1-2: Wudang San Feng Primeval Tai Chi Chuan: It is a famous legend that the Taoist art of Tai Chi Chuan was created by the Immortal Chang San Feng the founder of Wudang Tai Chi Chuan and Kung Fu in the Song Dynasty. Yet, his original Tai Chi Chuan form is a very rare art; and we will sponsor classes teaching this form because it is actually a Qigong practice which stresses the inner cultivation of the Qi system and also health preservation. It is a rare treasure for all serious practitioners.

1-3: Great Taoism Classic Explanation: Tao Te Ching Tao, though being of infinite emptiness in contents, yet endlessly giving rise to all the myriad things in the Universe. Tao, though being internally fathomless, it serves as the ancestor for all things forever.
The Tao Te Ching is a very profound ancient Taoist text of eternal universal truth. This sacred text of Taoist Philosophy is loved and cherished by people from all walks of life; bringing stillness to troubled hearts in these modern times. The Classic of the Way and its Virtue, authoredby the mysterious immortal sage Lao Tzu, has stood the test of time, holding profound truth today, just as it has since ancient times. Here, after many years of practice and study in the art of Internal Alchemy, Teacher Hu Xuezhi would like to offer students his understanding of the inner or hidden meaning of this great work.

1-4. Great Taoism Classic Explanation: Chuang Tzu Chuang-Tzu once dreamed he was a butterfly. When he awoke, he no longer knew if he was a butterfly dreaming he was a man, or a man who had dreamed he was a butterfly. The sage has the sun and moon by his side and the universe under his arm. He blends everything into a harmonious whole.
It has been said by some that the Chuang Tzu is the richest texts in all of Taoist philosophy. The text on the surface seems to have a deep understanding of human dilemma and suffering; expressing deep compassion. Yet, as is Taoist tradition, there are many layers contained within these stories. Teacher Hu Xuezhi will offer his understanding of this great work after many years of Taoism study and Inner Alchemy practice; explaining the hidden and esoteric meaning of the Chuang-Tzu as it relates to the practice of Internal Alchemy.

1-5. Taoism Classic Explanation: Journey to the West The Divine Root Conceives and the Spring Breaks Forth. As the Heart's Nature is Cultivated, The Great Way Arises. Before Chaos was divided, Heaven and Earth were one; All was a shapeless blur, and no men had appeared. Once Pan Gu destroyed the Enormous Vagueness, the separation of clear and impure began. Living things have always tended toward humanity. From their creation all beings improve. If you want to know about creation and time, read Difficulties Resolved on the Journey to the West.
In the Ming Dynasty, during the 16th century, there appeared a work entitled Journey to the West. This is an inspiring story of a monk and his three disciples' journey to the Thunder Monastery in the Western Heaven of Buddha to gain the sacred scriptures which will relieve suffering and enlighten all men. One of the disciples is the Handsome Monkey King – Sun Wu Kong (Monkey Awakened to Emptiness) – the magical and immortal Monkey King with his As You Will Cudgel who turned Heaven upside down, stealing the Immortal Peaches of the Queen Mother of the West, and eating all of the Golden Elixir Pills of Lao Tzu! The story is filled with mystical poetry, exciting tales of magic and symbolic metaphor that have inspired scholars and common men alike for centuries in China. Within the Taoist school, many feel this work was composed by the founder of the Dragon Gate Sect, Master Qiu Changchun, or Master Qiu – The Man of Eternal Spring. It is seen as a work that through metaphor, gives us a symbolic vision of the journey from our base self to our enlightened self, complete with details on how to practice to gain liberation and overcome our negative elements and inner demons. Teacher Hu Xuezhi will offer his understanding of this great work after many years of Taoism study and Inner Alchemy practice; explaining the hidden and esoteric meaning of the Journey to the West as it relates to the practice of Internal Alchemy.

1-6. Basic Internal Alchemy Theory & Outline of Whole Practice Process In this rare and special lecture Teacher Hu will explain in great depth and detail the complete theory of the practice of Taoist Internal Alchemy -- giving light to many hidden and secret theories only hinted about in ancient books. He will also explain the true meaning of many symbols and terms used in ancient Taoist Works. Symbols such as: He Drawing, Luo Writing, Five elements, Yin / Yang, Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, Primeval Eight Trigrams Arrangement and Acquired Eight Trigrams Arrangement, I - Ching theory, commonly-used alchemy terms in ancient books, and the relationship between Buddhism and Taoism. Teacher Hu will also give commentary upon "Understanding Reality", "Zou Yi Can Tong Chi", "Secret of the Golden Flower" and other classic Taoist Alchemy works in this special lecture.

1-7: Ancient Taoist DaoYin Practice DaoYin exercises were an ancient precursor of qigong, specifically the variety sometimes known as neigong, and were practised in Chinese Taoist monasteries for health and spiritual cultivation in ancient times. In modern times DaoYin has often been refered to as -- Taoist Yoga. DaoYin can be translated as "Guiding or leading the flow of Blood and Qi in the Body" and we find references to this ancient exercises from as far back as 500 BC. Ancient DaoYin is also said to be a primary formative ingredient in the well-known soft style Chinese martial art T'ai Chi Ch'uan. There are many various sets of DaoYin: Five Animals Play, Heavenly Gate, Su Dongpo's Massage, Seven Star Standing Exercises, Chen Huashan's 12 Forms, Wang Ziqiao's 34 Forms, and many others. We will offer training in three sets of DaoYin exercise at QingCheng Shan:

- 2. Union of Heaven and Earth TaoYin
