Wudang Mountain Mount Wudang is located near Shiyan City in China's Hubei Province. The Great Emperor Zhenwu once engaged here in pursuit of Tao and later transformed his body into brilliant light and transcended all limitations. Mount Wudang is famous for its fine scenery and many legendary stories about important Taoists who once came here to practice.
The area in and around Wudang is perhaps China's most famous Taoist holy land. Locals call Mt. Wudang by another name -- Mount Taihe or Mount Xuanyue. For more on Wudang, plus many more photos, please see the Main Wudang Page.
